SPRING 2012 Auditions
Austin College A Cappella Choir
The Choir will accept new singers for Spring 2012 in the TENOR SECTION only.
The Austin College Chorale will hear auditions for all sections for Spring 2012.
Auditions for both groups will be held DECEMBER 5th through 9th.
Contact Wayne Crannell (Choir and Chorale) or Nick Timmerman (Choir) for more information and an appointment.
It is not assumed that all members of all ensembles will have extensive singing background. Most will have choral music experience, but some may come with an extensive instrumental background. All ensembles require a good ear, clear voice, and a willingness to commit to the schedule and the rehearsal process. Sight-reading ability is desirable for the Choir, but formal sight reading training is not required.
- These auditions are also your voice lesson placement audition if interested.
- Auditions are by appointment
- Continuing members do not have to re-audition to remain in the same ensemble.
- Quartette membership is by invitation.
- Descant is on hiatus for 2011-12.
Available Places
Any student interested in voice lessons must audition and participate in an ensemble while taking voice. Non-majors may take lessons if there is availability. Students should contact Sylvia Rivers to determine availability.
