Ensembles

There are numerous musical ensembles for students of all ability levels, and any student who meets the qualifications of the specific organization may audition regardless of major.

Auditions

Any student who wishes to participate in a music ensemble and/or take lessons is required to audition at the beginning of the fall semester. Contact the director of the group or the music department for more information. A scholarship audition does not automatically place you in an ensemble.

Mid-Year Auditions

Ensemble directors and applied teachers may accept new students for the second semester depending on personnel needs and available space in studios. Please contact the appropriate director or instructor for more information. Auditions for the various organizations are generally held during the first week of the fall term in Craig Hall and are open to all students, regardless of their major.

Registration

The ensemble will appear on the student’s transcript as a zero-level course. Ensemble directors will arrange all registration. Students do not need to register for ensembles. All registration is for 0 credit.
