361 Music in the Elementary Schools
This is an undergraduate course in music required for music majors preparing for the master of arts in teaching. Although it will emphasize the elementary school general music classroom, it is also relevant as an elective for intended education students with majors other than music. The course will include an overview of techniques for the specialized music classroom as well as applications for the general classroom teacher as well as a survey of basic print and multi-media resources with the goal of assembling a usable portfolio of resource materials for future classroom use. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
